Believe it or not, adding a post or adding an event to your site is not as hard as it sounds. With a couple of edits and new additions, the task will no longer seem intimidating and you will wonder why you ever needed to look at this tutorial in the first place.
Below are steps and illustrations to guide you through the rigors of adding a post, or more specifically, how to make an event show up on your site.
- Log in to your website Administration Panel (Dashboard). You should already have this information and website address.
- Click the Posts tab.
- Click the Add New Sub Tab
- Start filling in the blanks.
- As needed, select a category, add tags, and make other selections from the sections below the post. Modifying events is explained below.
- When you are adding a class to the site you will need to put the date that you want displayed in the Enter title here box.
- Put a brief description of the event in the Post Editing Area (blank box)
- Select Classes from the Categories box on the right so that the system knows to put the information in the Upcoming Classes box on the site pages. If you do not select the proper category, it will not show up on the needed area on your site.

- When you are adding a class to the site you will need to put the date that you want displayed in the Enter title here box.
- When you are ready, click Publish.

- That’s it. Your post is live and in the upcoming events box. Also, you can edit an existing event post by renaming it and changing the information in the Post Editing Area.
Keep in mind that if a post no longer is needed, you can click on the link to Move to Trash which is located next to the Publish button to remove the entry from your site.
